Alicia Leatherbarrow, Age 9, from Bickershaw C of E Primary School, was the proud winner of the Blakeley’s Name the bin Competition. Her name of “Roger” was selected from hundreds of entries for the competition to name Blakeley’s new wheelie bin character.

In addition to winning one hundred pounds for herself Alicia also nominated a charity of her choice to receive a £100 donation. Her mother Anita said “when I asked her, she had no hesitation and immediately said Haiti mummy, for the children.” Presenting the cheque was Holly Blakeley, daughter of Managing Director Stephen Blakeley.
