Blakeley’s were proud to again sponsor the WISH FM Christmas Toy appeal for 2010.

The appeal was a great success with the people of Wigan and St Helens showing their generosity for those less fortunate than themselves.

Hundreds of toys were collected and distributed to local children’s charities in time for Christmas morning.

Blakeley’s again ran the name the bin competition and this years lucky winner was 4 year old Madeline Cooper from Orrell.

Madeline was also asked to nominate a charity to receive a further £100 donation and Madeline chose ’The Jennifer Trust’ for Spinal Muscular Atropy which is the only national charity in the UK dedicated both to supporting people affected by SMA, and investing in essential research into causes, treatments and eventually a cure for the condition.
