Blakeley’s waste management facility is based at the Junction works in the picturesque surroundings of Abram near Wigan. The operational area of the site extends over 8 acres and is the hub of our services throughout the North West of England.
It incorporates two 50 tonne weighbridges with computerised, weighing, accounting and integrated CCTV and Automatic Number Plate recognition cameras.
Over the past few years we have continued to put in more investment to upgrade both the facilities and the equipment.
Recent improvements have included:
- Increasing the size of the Recycling plant from 16,000 to 28,000 sq ft.
- Installation of two infloor 50 tonne weigh bridges and barrier system.
- New computer servers and back-up devices.
- Upgraded the telephone system.
- Upgraded CCTV systems.
- A re-development of Head Office.
- Number plate recognition cameras.
