Help get the North West’s most disadvantaged kids smiling this Christmas – that’s the plea to listeners of Wigan and St. Helens radio station Wish FM 102.4.

For the second year running, Blakeley’s are sponsoring the Wish FM Toy Appeal. Launched on Monday, the Appeal aims to makes sure that underprivileged youngsters in the North West don’t go without presents on December 25.

Listeners are being asked to buy an extra present this Christmas and visit their local Smyths Toy Store in Wigan and St Helens, where they can drop their presents into the big red bins provided by Blakeley’s.

The toys will then be distributed to deserving local youngsters with the help of the social services, just in time for Christmas.

Stephen Blakeley, Managing Director of Blakeley’s, said: “Families across the North West will be looking forward to a festive season full of presents, fun and laughter. But for some, Christmas can be a difficult time.

“The Christmas Appeal is a chance for Wish FM listeners to help others have a happy Christmas.”

If you’d like to donate a present to the Wish FM Christmas Appeal, just pop into Smyths at the Ravenhead Retail Park, St. Helens, or the Robin Retail Park, Wigan. Alternatively, you can drop presents off in reception at Wish FM or reception at Blakeley’s.
